What are the official requirements for a Russian passport photo?

Russian passport photos must be 35×45 mm, in color, with a light background (usually white or light grey). The face should be clearly visible, without shadows, head coverings (unless for religious reasons), or glasses with tinted lenses. Our tool automatically applies these specifications for you.

Do I need a professional camera or studio photo?

No. You can take a photo with your smartphone or digital camera. As long as the image is clear, well-lit, and your face is fully visible, our tool will make it passport-ready.

Can I use the photo for both domestic and international Russian passports?

Yes. Our photo maker can generate images suitable for both domestic Russian passports (internal) and international passports, following their respective size and background requirements.

Will my photo be accepted by Russian passport authorities?

We design our templates according to the latest official Russian passport photo requirements. However, final acceptance is at the discretion of the issuing authority. We recommend double-checking the requirements for your specific passport type before submitting.
