Can I take the photo with my smartphone?

Face a window for natural, even lighting, instead of standing directly under a harsh overhead ceiling light.

What if the camera flash gives me "red eye"? Can I just edit it out?

If your photo has the "red-eye" effect, you must retake it. Never digitally edit or retouch the photo to remove it, as altered photos are an automatic ground for rejection. To avoid red eye, try taking the photo facing a window with natural daylight instead of using your phone's flash.
